I am starting this weekend on a high. Yesterday afternoon our Construction Industry Networking Group (C.I.N.G.) hosted the Chamber Unplugged event at the South Metro Chamber of Commerce.
It was standing room only as a capacity crowd of 200 showed up to the last Unplugged event at the old Chamber location.
Ten or 11 C.I.N.G. members had tables in the back room to allow people to learn more about their businesses.
There was great energy in the room as new connections were made, door prizes were given and best of all, almost $200 was raised for Homes for Our Troops. C.I.N.G. had decided beforehand to match any and all donations received during the event, which means nearly $400 will be available for this wonderful cause.
What a wonderful way to start the weekend! Thanks to everyone who came, and thanks especially to all the C.I.N.G. members who helped with set-up, bartending, door prizes and more. Can’t wait to see everyone at our next meeting on August 16 at the new Chamber location!
Additional opportunities to view this and other playhouses at DIA (1/11/11) and at Denver Botanic Garden’s
Mordecai Children’s Garden (4/6 – 4/15/11). All playhouses will be auctioned off at a special gala on April 16, 2011, with proceeds benefitting programming in heath and nutrition for children and families living in a Rocky Mountain Communities property.
